Bangladesh grows and weaves more jute than almost anywhere on earth, and still exports most of it as somebody else's unbranded product. Jutery exists to close that gap: design, specification and accountability from Dhaka, with the finishing quality an export buyer actually expects.
Our commitments
Or we tell you why it will take longer, and exactly when to expect it.
Your sample and courier charges are credited in full against the first production order.
You always know which workshop is building your order, and you are welcome to inspect it.
Single-use plastic restrictions across the EU, the UK and the Gulf have turned reusable natural-fibre bags from a nice-to-have into a procurement requirement.
Untreated jute returns to soil within months — no microplastics, no landfill legacy.
Higher tensile strength than cotton at a fraction of the fibre cost per bag.
Jute grows in four to six months on rain-fed land with minimal pesticide demand.
A natural texture that reads as considered and expensive on a retail shelf.
Biodegradable untreated jute
Months from seed to harvest
Plastic in our standard build
Reuses per bag in normal service
Send us the retail price point you need to hit and we will tell you which fabric weight, handle and print method gets you there — before you commit to a sample.
Each style below has a fixed specification, a tested construction and a known costing — the fastest route from enquiry to shipment. Every dimension, weight and handle can still be changed.
Dimensions, fabric weight, handle type, lining and print method are all adjustable. Send us your target specification and retail price and we will confirm feasibility and cost.
Almost nothing about a jute bag is fixed. These are the levers we pull to hit your look, your durability requirement and your landed cost.
7 oz to 14 oz jute hessian, jute-cotton blends, laminated (PP or PE) and unlaminated, natural or piece-dyed in your colour.
Flat, gusseted, boxed, folding, rigid-base, zip-top, drawstring, with internal pockets, dividers and key leashes.
Cotton webbing, jute cord, rope, cane and bamboo, leather-look PU, self-fabric straps, adjustable and detachable options.
Screen, block, flexo, heat transfer, sublimation on the lining, embroidery, plus woven, printed and metal labels.
Piping, rivets, magnetic snaps, zips, base boards, printed inner linings and edge binding in contrast cotton.
Individual polybag or paper sleeve, retail hang tags, EAN barcodes, master-carton marking and pallet configuration.
Quantity economics
| Quantity | Price index | Sampling | Production |
|---|---|---|---|
| 300 – 499 | 100 | 7–10 d | 30–35 d |
| 500 – 999 | 92 | 7–10 d | 28–32 d |
| 1,000 – 2,999 | 84 | 7 d | 25–30 d |
| 3,000 – 9,999 | 76 | 7 d | 25–30 d |
| 10,000 + | 70 | 5–7 d | 30–40 d |
Indicative only. Actual movement depends on fabric weight, print method, handle type and the jute price at the time of quotation. Above ten thousand pieces the lead time lengthens again because the order is split across units.
Choose the branding method by quantity and artwork, then decide how each bag is packed. Together these two choices set most of the unit-cost difference between a plain bag and a retail-ready one.
Branding methods
| Method | Min. quantity | Colours | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Screen print | 300 | up to 4 | Best value overall. Crisp, opaque coverage on flat panels; our default recommendation. |
| Block print | 500 | 1–2 | Hand-crafted look for artisanal ranges. Slight variation between pieces is inherent, not a defect. |
| Flexo print | 2,000 | up to 6 | Roll-to-roll printing before cutting. The lowest unit cost once you are past two thousand pieces. |
| Heat transfer | 100 | Full colour | Photographic detail and gradients across small areas. Higher unit cost, no screen charges. |
| Embroidery | 100 | up to 9 threads | The premium finish. Ideal for logos under 12 cm; priced by stitch count, not by area. |
| Woven label | 300 | — | Sewn to the front panel or inside the seam. The cheapest way to carry a brand mark permanently. |
Packaging & freight
We work to the paperwork standard European and North American importers require — and we state plainly what we can and cannot certify.
Third-party lab reports from SGS, Intertek or Bureau Veritas on request — tensile strength, colour fastness, azo dyes, heavy metals.
REACH/SVHC declarations, California Prop 65 statements, and phthalate-free lamination options.
We prioritise SEDEX/SMETA or BSCI audited units and share the audit reference before you place the order.
Every shipment travels with a photographic QC report and a measurement sheet against the approved sample.
Documentation provided
Under the EU's tightening rules on environmental claims, a vague green statement on your packaging is now your legal exposure, not ours. So we keep the first list defensible and refuse the second.
Send a sketch, a sample photo or a reference SKU. You receive an itemised FOB quotation within 48 hours.
We fix dimensions, fabric weight, handle, lining, print method and packing, then confirm price bands by quantity.
Pre-production sample in 7–10 days, couriered for approval. Revisions continue until you sign off.
Your order goes to the workshop best matched to your construction, volume and deadline — and we name it.
Two in-line checks plus a final AQL 2.5 inspection with a photographic report before packing.
Booking, stuffing and the full document set — invoice, packing list, bill of lading and certificate of origin.
Payment
| First order | 30% advance by telegraphic transfer, 70% against scanned documents before release. |
| Letter of credit | Irrevocable LC at sight through a first-class bank, accepted from the first order. |
| Repeat buyers | 20/80 from Silver tier; 60-day credit considered at Gold tier after three clean settlements. |
| Currency | Quoted and invoiced in USD. EUR and GBP invoicing available at the spot rate on the invoice date. |
Choose the Incoterm that matches how much of the journey you want us to own, and we plan cartons and containers around it. Every quotation includes a carton and stuffing plan.
Shipping & Incoterms

Container planning
| Container | Usable volume | Indicative load | Best suited to |
|---|---|---|---|
| 20 ft GP | ≈ 28 m³ | 18,000 – 22,000 pcs | First orders and single-style programmes. |
| 40 ft GP | ≈ 58 m³ | 38,000 – 45,000 pcs | Multi-style programmes moving on one bill of lading. |
| 40 ft HC | ≈ 68 m³ | 45,000 – 54,000 pcs | High-volume promotional and retail campaigns. |
| LCL | per m³ | — | Orders below container volume travel consolidated, priced by cubic metre. |
Indicative loads are for a flat-packed classic tote in export cartons. Actual counts depend on bag size, gusset, handle and carton specification — the exact figure is confirmed in your stuffing plan.
